What is a boutique hotel?
Typically a boutique hotel is one that is 100 rooms or less. Boutique hotels generally offer more personalized service, and offer greater atmosphere and ambiance.
Where do we park?
Typically off-street parking is not an issue. We do also have a small lot that guests can use which is located on 6th Ave., directly behind the hotel. Space in that lot is limited. However, if you choice off-street parking, we are always here to help you carry your luggage in before you park, if that is more convenient for you.
Do you offer special rates or discounts?
Yes! We often post deals on our facebook and twitter page, so make sure to "like us." We also send coupons through our monthly eblast, so make sure to sign up.
Do you have elevators?
Unfortunately, we do not, but our staff will assist you in any capacity in bringing luggage to your room.
Are you handicap accessible?
Unfortunately, at this time we are not.
What is served with breakfast?
Breakfast is a light continental breakfast that includes yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, danish, juice and a special Hotel Tides coffee blend, provided by Asbury Park Roastery.
Do you have room service?
We do not, but we do have a bar menu and full-service restaurant.
Do you allow pets?
Unfortunately, we do not. We recommend Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital for boarding. OVH is just 15 minutes from us. You can check them out at www.oakhurstvet.com.
Do you have internet access?
Yes we have free wifi! Simply ask a front desk agent for the pass code.
Do you have refrigerators in the room?
At this time, all of our King size rooms are equipped with refrigerators.
Should I bring my own hair dryer?
Feel free to but we do have hair dryers available at the front desk. Simply ask a front desk agent for one.
What products are available in the room?
Each room has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion, facial bars and make-up remover.
Can I have an early check-in?
We do all that we can to accommodate an early check-in, but we can never guarantee it. Largely early check-in’s are dependent on the day of the week, or what we have checking out from the previous evening. We can always hold your bags, if your room is not ready.
Can I have a late check-out?
Surely you can, if we do not need the room the following day for other guests. You will be subject to a half day rate if you check-out after 1pm under any circumstance.
How far are you from the beach?
We are about 3.5 blocks from the 5th Ave. beach and Convention Hall
Do you have beach passes?
Unfortunately, we do not. Passes are available on the boardwalk for $5 on weekdays, or $6 on weekends.
Are there cab service?
Yes! Asbury Park does have reliable cab services that are very familiar with the Hotel Tides. Each room has a list of cab services. Cab services generally take 5-15 minutes for arrival.
Can I walk from the train station?
Yes, you can! The Hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the Allenhurst station. You can walk from the Asbury Park station, but they do have a cab stand.
Do you have aplace for us to store our bikes?
We do have a small bike rack on the side of our property. Though we have overnight staff at our facility, we do not accept any responsibility for lost or stolen property,
Do you have have air conditioning/heat?
Yes, we do have central air/heat. However, the precise temperature of each room is controlled by the hotel.
What does "unattached" mean?
We do have one full size room with an unattached bathroom. That bathroom is across the hall, but is individual to the customer. Only your key will work in that lock. It is not a shared bathroom. All other rooms have their own bathrooms.
Is the hotel quiet?
The building is over 100 years old, but we do all we can to keep noise to a minimum. That is why our bar closes at midnight at the latest, and if we book entertainment, they are done by 10pm! Certainly if you are sensitive to noise, we can provide you with ear plugs if that will assist you in sleeping better. Simply ask a front desk agent for a pre-packaged, disposable set.
